Smart osd, xbee and dragonlink
« on: August 18, 2012, 05:13:59 PM »

Hi all,

Just wondering if it's possible to have the smart OSD, xbee and dragonlink all connected at the same time. I'm thinking there may not be enough connections on the flight controller and navi control. This is for FC ME2.1 and navi Ctrl v2.0 and GPS v2.1?

Or can you just use the same connectors for the lot?

Cheers

I'm not sure if you can have xbee and smartosd running at the same time but the dragon link shouldn't influence this as it is connected (soldered) to the ppm connection on the flight controller (I believe xbee and smartOSD do not).

You can use an xbee and smart osd at the same time.  There is a setting for this in the smart osd manager and the xbee connects to the smart osd.

Cheers!

Great to hear this as I have a Smart OSD and have just gotten hold of a set of Xbees, I pressume you just plug the xbee into the only remaining 10pin on the OSD ? and set the parameters in Global parameters in OSD to xbee ?  Is it this simple ?? :)

It is that simple.  I think you also have to close the osd manager and then open koptertool but it is really easy.

Cheers!
