Connecting JR PROPO XG8 receiver to FC v2.1
« on: June 01, 2012, 03:48:19 AM »

Hi,

Building my first Okto XL and almost at the end I realise I don't know how to connect the receiver to the FC!

Couldn't find any info on the Mikro Wiki page either. Anyone out there who knows what to do?

Thanks!

This is the receiver I got with the JR PROPO XG8

try this link

http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/Spektrum?highlight=%28spektrum%29

Does that mean I can use the Spectrum receiver with the JR radio I have?

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the whole issue of why the JR receiver won't work!

To me the receiver looks like it could be attached the way this is - Apparently not possible. Can anyone help me understand why this is.

Thanks!

i dont think that Spectrum receiver would work with your JR radio seeing its a different brand but i am not to sure! have you tried binding the satellite from your JR radio with the Spectrum receiver just to see if it does??

have you soldered this already and binded your radio to your satellite??

No I haven't got any other receiver except the JR one which came with the radio. Have written to MK as well and will post the response I get.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to help me out

This is the reply I got from MK

Hello,

you can only see the telemetry of the Kopter if you use a Jety-System or a Graupner HoTT-System.
All other Systems will not work!

You can connect to the FC a:
- Receiver with a PPM Sum signal
or
- a Receiver with a S.BUS (Futaba)
or
- a Spektrum Satellite

all others can not connected!

If you want to use your transmitter, you need a QuadroPPM12. This you can connect between your receiver and the FlightCtrl.
A other way is not possible.
