Hi folks,

I am in the concept phase and use my MX-20 only with the simulator until my kit is built. I am planning to control both the MK and camera gimbal (using a 3 axle gimbal). I envision essentially parking my copter at some height and then control where it goes using carefree (mode 1 & 2) so I would not care where the front is.

With this setup I would like to be able to switch the transmitter over to a "photo mode" where I use the left stick to control the camera angle and horizontal while controlling the MK horizontal position using the right stick. Ideally I would use the smaller controls (control 7 & 8) for gas & rudder in case I need to make adjustments during filming. Then when I'm done with the shoot I would switch back to normal left stick use to have better control of the MK while landing it.

My question is this: Is it possible to setup the MX-20 so that by flipping a switch different controls could be assigned to the gas/rudder channels and the camera gimbal?

Thank you
Benji

Hi iCamFly

You can definitely do what you describe, just not how you describe it :-)

First of all: get some flying time! ..boring I know, but it helps a lot.

Then: when you take off and put the mk into position, you would have yaw on your throttle stick(left/right), but your nick and roll, on channels that doesn't do anything but control the camera. All that is setup in the MK tool.

It's possible to have a flight control system that's completely separated from the cam control system, but that would require a two man operation, and it would take a bit of the fun out of it :-)

Hope this get's you on the right track.
